1. Software Engineers/Developers/Programmers:



These people develop software’s or packages by using existing programming languages. For this good understanding and command over minimum one programming language is required, like C, C++, JAVA, etc. If people are very good at programming skills, they can create many software products by using these languages. Qualification for these positions requires minimum graduation. Some companies will give preference for experienced people or engineering graduates. Possessing Logical, mathematical, reasoning and problem solving skills are an added advantage for these jobs.



2. Hardware Engineers:



These people will involve in the creation of new hardware and its design. These people should have in depth knowledge about electronics, electrical and electronic devices. Main activities are developing a new product or creating design for new one are making changes to existing one or creation of blueprint and preparing circuit design. They can also work in repairing, troubleshooting providing after sale services etc. These hardware products may be computer mother boards, processors, RAM, like many more.



3. Networking Administrators:



Any company which is using computers, (it may be IT company are others) they will maintain at least simple network within their office or within factory or the locations where they are operating their business. All business locations are connected through the network. For this network maintenance they need people with networking and communications skills like design, setup, maintenance and troubleshooting of LAN, MAN, WAN, and installation, configuration of Routers, Hubs, Switches, etc. People with qualifications or certifications like MCSE, RHCSE, CCNA, and CCNP are given preference in this field. If these people have hardware skills, then that is an added advantage for them.







4. Quality testers/Quality assurance testers/Testers:



These people are required to test the quality and compatibility of software or hardware products developed by the company. They will concentrate more on testing. For this purpose there are many courses are available in the market, called as ‘Testing Tools’. By learning few of them you can join as a tester in Software Company. For fresher or the people those are trying for break in IT field this is the easiest way. For this minimum knowledge about computers, hardware, software, and packages are required.



5. Security Experts:



These people are responsible for maintaining security issues in the software which they are developed. How much stronger or vulnerable the software developed by them to face the external factors like virus, hacking, theft, code breaking, how much protection is possible with the help of this software, like all these type of issues are handled by the Security experts and they creates software properly to face all these issues.

For this position people should know all issues relating hardware, software and networking, how they work, what are the possibilities to exploit them by third party programmed software etc. Up to date knowledge on new critical issues are very important to them. Companies like Symantec, McAfee they will concentrate more on the development on antivirus software and they will recruit the people with the above skills.







6. Web Designers:



Nowadays every company they are maintain web site to reach their customers, to sell their products and services. The appearance and quality of this site should be very attractive to the people those are visiting the site and it should keep them some time in the site and convert them into valuable prospective customer.

Web designer designs, creates, maintains and updates the website. For this he should know the languages and technologies like HTML, XHTML, XML, CGI, CSS, FTP, and Flash, RSS feeds, internet, web services and hosting etc.
